Light as a phenomenon
Starting from Linien/Lyset 4 May 1995, Elle-Mie Ejdrup Hansen wanted a unified conceptual work that could document light as a phenomenon. The purpose of the work was to materialize the Linien/Lyset project and at the same time maintain light as a phenomenon.
Rikke Rørbech took part to assist with the project, who on a cold and windy evening filmed the laser beam at Vigsø. The photographer Henrik Vering assisted in the further work.
The film was played on a monitor. Henrik Vering's task was primarily to photograph selected passengers on the monitor.
This created an opportunity to maintain the special vibrating intensity where the undulating movements of light are expressed in the photographs.
A total of 21 photos were selected for the series. A total of 20 copies of each photo were produced. These were mounted on aluminum plates, numbered and signed by Elle-Mie Ejdrup Hansen.
