CROSSHATCHED

Acrylic on canvas, signed by the artist on the backside - 2022

The series CROSSHATCHED was created with inspiration from the American artist Jasper John (b. 1930), who in the 1960s created a series with the title CROSSHATCHED.

In these paintings, Marius Martinussen has tightened up Jasper John's abstract expression and thus he has achieved an independent artistic expression.
